Residential Roofing

Residential Roofing is our bread and butter. Our crews specialize in doing work quickly and effectively. Every step from supplies arriving in the morning to all the debris being disposed of at the end of the job is done with professionalism and in full contact with the client.

Commercial Roofing

We understand that roofing is an investment, and that your money and time are on the line. That is why we take extra care when dealing with big jobs. When you are running a business, the last thing you should have to worry about is the roof over your head.

Maintenance/Repair

Sadly, the leaks happen before we can do a preventative maintenance. We put ourselves in your shoes, which is why we are always very prompt to answer any leak emergencies. With clear communication and effective repair methods, we strive to keep your home or business clean and dry.

THE SUN MAINTENANCE & REPAIR

The sun here sure does its job.

Getting your roof maintained is the similar to getting your oil changed on your car or a check up with a doctor. However, a roof is worth ten of thousands of dollars and is one of the main components of your home.

Here are several logical reasons to get inspected for a maintenance/repair.

01 PIPE 02 SEALANT 03 COLLAR
FIG. 01 — A ROOF PENETRATION IN SECTION. THE JOINT BETWEEN THE PIPE AND ITS COLLAR IS WHERE A ROOF FAILS FIRST, AND IT IS THE ONE THING A MAINTENANCE VISIT CAN PUT RIGHT IN AN HOUR.
REASON 1

3-5 Years Since Last Maintenance

New Mexico has some of the clearest and prettiest skies out there, but that comes with a drawback, the sun. The sun here sure does its job, because for around 365 days the sun is beating down on your roof. After a few years in the sun, anything will start to deteriorate.

REASON 2

Got leak?

We have redone too many parts of roofs, sometimes whole roofs, due to a leak that was left alone. Even though it may just be some drops coming through the ceiling, a lot more could be happening that is not visible to the eye. At least get it checked out!

REASON 3

Cracked pipes/parapets

Having cracks on your roof means it's time for a little patch up. Even though the water might not be damaging the inside of your house, it could very well be deteriorating your roof's life right under your nose. A simple preventative maintenance will fix this problem.

ONE PENETRATION, RESEALED

The same fitting, an hour apart.

This is a detail, not a whole roof — the sealant around one pipe where it comes up through the metal. It is the crack in reason three, and it is the whole job: find the small hole while it is still small, and the leak never starts.

BEFORE A pipe penetration on a metal roof where the old sealant has dried out and cracked into a network of splits, with bare gray substrate showing through in places. A rusted pipe and tee fitting cross the frame above it.

AFTER The same pipe penetration after resealing, covered in a smooth, unbroken white coating that laps up onto the pipe base. The rusted pipe and tee fitting above it are unchanged.

Sal and his team at ABQ Star Roofing completely replaced our old roof with a brand new TPO roof in just two days. From the initial call to the completion of the job, working with Sal and ABQ Star Roofing was easy, efficient, and all at a reasonable price. We had other roofing companies quote us at two to three times more than ABQ Star Roofing, and I doubt they would have done as good a job. Replacing a roof is a hassle, but we are very glad we found ABQ Star Roofing. If you are in the market for a new roof, look no further than ABQ Star Roofing!

We had a great experience with ABQ Star Roofing!! Gio got me scheduled immediately. Sal came, did his inspection, & gave us a free estimate. Reasonable quotes… Actually, we’ve had a lot of construction work done in the ABQ area, & this was one of the few times we weren’t outraged by pricing. ♥️ They had us scheduled for replacement of our flat membrane roof & repairs of our tile roof by the next week. The showed on time, & the crew was polite, friendly, & very hard working!!! They did such a great job! Thank you!

Gio did a fantastic job on our roof. He did multiple repairs and re-roofed part of our house. One leak was particularly troublesome and Gio came out as many times as he needed to make sure the job was done correctly. He was always on time. He was always friendly and professional, and very thorough. He came out on short notice a couple of times rearranging his schedule to take care of us. I thought I needed a total roof replacement, but Gio was honest and informed me that only part of my roof needed roofing. The other part had several more years left in it. I would give Gio my highest recommendation.

ABQ Star Roofing did a PHENOMENAL job with our reroof. The whole roof was done in a day, they applied for permits for us from the city, replaced all skylights and turbines as part of the bid, and also removed an old satellite dish and the old swamp cooler. Gio was very attentive and quick to answer calls or text messages, and didn’t mind responding to all my questions. I couldn’t be happier with the work completed and the price I paid, for all the additional things included. Removal of the old roof also resulted in some white paint on the front of the house being chipped away, and Gio said one of his guys would come out and fix it prior to the city inspection. I highly recommend ABQ Star Roofing to anyone looking to reroof their house. I am so very happy and impressed!

Sal and Gio and the rest of the team are really great to work with. They replaced my old roof with a new TPO. Got some rain and found a leak. Called Gio and he had a guy out that day. He found a small hole and patched it. No more leak. They are really great to work with.

ABQ Star Roofing is THE BEST! I have rental properties and it definitely helps knowing Gio and Sal will answer the phone, show up promptly and their work is excellent. Over the years I have called them with questions related to squirrels, skylights etc. and they always make me feel like a valued customer. Thanks Gio and Sal!

It's been almost a month since we had our new TPO roof installed, and we've already seen some serious storms (one of which was the most rain at our house in years). No issues whatsoever!

We did air conditioners at the same time, and Sal's crew coordinated with them flawlessly. While the units were off the roof, they would lay the necessary section of roofing before the new units were installed. It worked out very well. We had to have the AC guys back to fix a few things (wish they were as good as the roofers), and they've all commented how good the roof looks.

ABQ Start Roofing LLC gets two thumbs up from us. Fair pricing and quality work.

What a great experience! Sal and his crew did an outstanding job 👏 on my single-story, pitched shingle roof replacement. I felt like I was Sal's only customer because he gave me all his attention and never kept me waiting for any answers, even though he is super busy. His prices are more than reasonable and he's just a pleasure to work with. I wish I had more work for him because I miss interacting with him. Thank you so much for your outstanding work!
